Player profiles TONY HULL
Tony is 49 years old, married to Roz and lives in Doncaster. Tony is an ex miner, but is currently unemployed. He started playing darts at the age of 17. He currently plays local league, superleague and county, he no longer does the competition circuit due to medical problems, but does hope to go back onto the circuit in January. He lists his points in darts as bring selected to play for Yorkshire, Winning Jersey Open in 1995 and winning Yorkshire Individuals three times. He says his low points were, not being able to play following surgery, but owes a lot to the Yorkshire lads with regard to coming back into the game. His personnel comments were all about Yorkshire and he said, ‘I would like to see the Yorkshire ladies do really well and would like to see good harmony throughout the teams, also I think that the Committee do a marvellous job’ My comments on Tony are that he always seems to know what is happening and can tell many a tale, but he is also a very talented player who has done well to get back to ‘A’ team standard in such a short time span following his time out with illness.
