STEVE O’DONNELL

Steve is 53 years old and lives in Castleford with where he works as a Store man. He is married to Marcia and has 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren. He started playing darts at the age of 15 when he first became interested in the sport through watching his uncles play.  He got his Yorkshire call up in 1998, he currently plays local league, super league, county and also does the competition circuit both UK and abroad.  His high points in darts have been getting his County call-up and also winning the Isle of Man pairs in 2007.  His low point in darts has been missing out on Lakeside qualification by 10 points and also not being able to retain a regular ‘A’ team place. His ambition in darts is to achieve a constant ‘A’ team place and also to win through to the televised stages of a major competition.  For a personal comment he said ‘Darts is a fantastic sport and I have met lots of great people throughout Europe who I would never have had the opportunity to meet.  My comment on Steve is that you couldn’t wish to meet a nicer person, he also has a phenomenal darting ability, but somehow hasn’t managed to achieve his true potential yet.  Keep at it Steve and I am sure that your day will come.
