Player Profile Roz Kerr
Roz is 49 years old and lives with her mum in Bishopthorpe in York, her occupation is a driver. She started playing darts at the age of 25 in the local pub with the lads. She throws an 18 gram dart and plays local league, superleague, county and also does the UK competition circuit. She started playing for Yorkshire in 1989. She says her high point in darts was getting her county place and more recently winning the British Open pairs event this year, Her low point was getting ‘Arthur’ as she calls it (Rheumatoid Arthritis), as it stopped her playing for 6 months, Her personnel comment on the sport was that she loves the game and the people and has made many really good friends over the years, and it is an excellent social life. As one of those good friends Roz mentions my comments are that she is a very good player who should never be under estimated and has also done excellent to come back so well after time out with ‘Arthur’. She also loves anything that sparkles and can often be found covered in glitter shining like the star she is.
