PLAYER PROFILE Pamela Haigh
Pamela is 41 years old and lives in Huddersfield where she works as a driver. She started playing darts at the age of 21, when she was messing around in the local pub and was asked to play. She currently plays local league, super league and county. It is also her intention to start doing the competition circuit during 2009. Her ambition in darts is to be consistent ‘A’ team player and then see what comes. Her high point in darts was her first ‘A’ team win at Essex and her low point was her first county loss in the ‘A’ team after 6 consecutive wins in the ‘B’ team. When asked for a personal comment she said “Since playing darts for Yorkshire I have made many true friends and hope to continue to do so over the coming seasons as I consider darts to be a great social network”. My comment on Pam is that she is an excellent player with lots of great potential to do well in darts, she just needs to get her head in the right frame of mind and start looking forward rather than dwelling on what’s in the past. Come on Pam, you know you can do it!
