Player Profile John Utley
John is a 51 year old retired Miner who lives in South Elmsall with wife Kath. He has two children, Louise and Leigh. He currently plays Local league, super league and is in the county ‘B’ team. He initially started playing darts in the local pub at the age of 20. He didn’t start playing super league until 2002 and after his first season got invited into Yorkshire squad. His high point in darts is playing for Yorkshire. As for a low point he say’s ‘not really had one, just take it as it comes, we all win and we all lose’ When I asked him for a personal comment he said, ‘just play and enjoy, win lose or draw they can’t take your arms off’ My comments on John are that he is a very quiet family man who just enjoys his darts and doesn’t get involved in any of the politics of the game.
