John Walton
John is married to Sally and now lives in Sheffield, though he was born and grew up in Bradford and is a loyal Bull’s supporter. He is 46 year old this month and is a professional Dart player.
He throws 18 gram darts and started playing at the age of 9 at the local club with his dad. He played his first county match in 1990 against Merseyside and 17 years later is still going strong playing in the ‘A’ team.
His high point in darts was winning the world championship in 2001, his low point was being beaten 3-0 in the first round of the world championship in 2006.  His ambition is to win the World Championship again and also to keep playing for England as long as possible.
John’s personal comment is ‘Playing darts has enabled me to travel the world and meet some fabulous people. Also I am delighted to have being selected for the 2007 world cup squad. I would also like to thank my dad, Joe Hunt and Gerry Heyward for their contribution to my playing ability and not forgetting Sally for her patience and continual support’
My comments on John are that he is a truly dedicated professional who enjoys his success but still keeps in touch with his routes.

Good Luck for the future John.
