Dan Timmins
Dan is 29 years old and lives in Scarbourgh with partner Penny and his son Liam. His occupation is a Refuse collector (or Dustbin man to us old uns).
He started playing darts at home at the age of 9. He joined his first league at the age of 15. He now plays local league, super league and county but only does local competitions. He got his Yorkshire call up in the 2008/9 season but had to wait until the 2009/10 season before he got his first game.
His high points in darts have been getting his Yorkshire call up and also winning the Scarbourgh league singles when he beat Graham Usher in the final, who had been the last 7 years unbeaten finalist.
His low point was his first county loss in February.
His ambition in darts is to get into the Yorkshire ‘A’ team and then hopefully go on to play for England. He had no personal comments to make and I find it very difficult at this stage to give a personal comment on Dan as I have not really had opportunity to get to know him, but he seems to be a very quite individual who just gets on with playing, but from what I have seen so far, I am sure that he will achieve his ambition to get into the ‘A’ team once he has a little more experience under his belt, because he certainly has the ability. Oh and he does have one more asset which appears to delight several of the Yorkshire girls, but that will remain a secret between us Tykes.
