PLAYER PROFILE
Craig Buzzard
Craig who’s occupation is a driver, is 41 years old and lives in Doncaster. He is married to Karen and has 5 Children, Leanne, Kyle, Paige, Lyndon, and Bailey. He started playing darts at the age of 17 in the local pub. He now plays local league, super league and county as well as doing the competition circuit. He got his Yorkshire call up in 1994. His high points in darts have been his Yorkshire selection, qualifying for the Lakeside qualifiers and reaching the quarter finals at Isle of Man. His low point was being dropped from Yorkshire and having to wait 9 games to get back in, but says he was lucky to get straight back into the ‘A’ team when he filled in for a missing player and won. His ambition is to qualify for Lakeside and to play for England. When I asked for a comment about darts he said that he would like to see more interest from younger players but with the declining pub industry can’t see a way in for many. My comments on Craig are that he is one of those players who just gets on with the job of playing darts, he doesn’t make a song and dance about his achievements he just lets his darts do the talking.
